About us
Landbrugsraadgivning Syd (Farming Consulting, South) is a farmer owned and farmer operated consultancy organisation, located in Southern Jutland.
Our mission is to render high quality services at an affordable cost at the agreed time.
Our costumers include farmer members, small businesses in rural areas, public authorities and community based organisations – in Denmark and abroad.
We have 6 advisory service centres: in Løgumkloster, in Varde in Vejle, in Odense and in Svendborg. We are 120 members of staff. All are specialists within their respective areas, but we focus not only upon the technical and economical aspects of the business in question, but also upon the well being of proprietor’s family and upon the further development of the rural community at large.
Our Services
Crop husbandry advisory services
Crop husbandry advisory services include selection of crops/varieties, plant nutrition and utilization of slurry/commercial fertilizers, use of herbicides and insecticides, environmental protection etc.
Activities also include preparation of management plans, which ensure compliance with national environmental legislation and with EU directives.
20 specialists work in the crop husbandry department. 2 of these are specialists upon organic farming.
Animal husbandry advisory services
Animal husbandry advisory services are rendered in collaboration with other Danish advisory service units. Our members can draw upon the services of 16 specialists in dairy/beef production, and 16 specialists in pig production.
Advisory services related to poultry and to fur production are organized at the national level.
Farm management advisory services
Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Bookkeeping for farmer members and small businesses
- Preparation of periodic and annual financial statements, for management purposes and for submission to VAT/tax authorities.
- Negotiations with tax authorities
- Farm secretary services
- Administration of salary/wages to staff employed by farmers/small businesses.
- Strategic planning
80 specialists work in the Farm Management Department.
Legal Advisory Services
The main activities of the legal advisory service department are to give consultancy services related to purchase/sale of real estate. We prepare all the documentation needed for and for the actual setting up of title deeds and registration of these in the Land Registry.
Additionally, the specialists in the legal advisory service department will advise farmer members upon other pertinent legal issues, e.g. leasing contracts, wills, estate administration, application to public institutions.

Projects
We have extensive knowledge and skills related to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluations of projects, both in Denmark, at EU level and overseas.
We have been awarded contracts funded by:
- The Foreign Ministry of Denmark
- The Ministry of Foods, Agriculture and Fisheries of Denmark
- The EU Social Fund
- The EU Leonardo da Vinci programme
We have also participated in projects funded by World Bank and EU Socrates programme.
Our partners in Europe include organizations in Finland, Norway, Holland, Latvia, Czech Republic and Romania.
For Third World Countries we focus mainly upon East Africa, especially Uganda, where we have had several assignments of long duration.
